Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network infrastructure within the government agency.
- Configure, maintain, and secure local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Manage and monitor system performance, security patches, and backups to protect sensitive citizen data and government records.
- Conduct regular system audits and assess vulnerabilities to ensure compliance with federal and state IT security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT projects and streamline government workflows.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on best practices for IT security and system maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required; equivalent military or technical experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role within a government or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary government security clearances.
