Responsibilities
- Provide expert Level 3 technical support to internal government staff and external citizens via helpdesk tickets and direct communication.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network devices across city facilities.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime of critical systems.
- Enforce compliance with federal, state, and local data privacy regulations and security protocols.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to select and deploy new IT solutions that enhance city operations.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of all IT assets and incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent military or government technical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL databases.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
