Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure facility access points and perimeter areas during assigned weekend shifts.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergency situations, alarms, and distress calls.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure safety compliance.
- Document incidents, activities, and observations accurately in government logs.
- Enforce city ordinances and safety regulations in a firm yet fair manner.
- Assist in the coordination of community outreach events held on weekends.
- Maintain a high standard of personal and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Must be available to work alternating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or public administration is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Valid Florida Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and government reporting software.
