Responsibilities
- Monitor city facilities and infrastructure during overnight hours using advanced surveillance systems
- Respond to emergency incidents and coordinate with law enforcement/fire departments
- Conduct routine security patrols across municipal properties
- Maintain detailed incident reports and daily operational logs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless operational handovers
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on critical equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred)
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or facility management
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and reporting software
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and respond to emergencies
- U.S. citizenship required for government clearance
