Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension applications and benefit requests from current and retired employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pension contributions, withdrawals, and status changes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries regarding pension eligibility and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly pension disbursement reports and audit trails.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure compliance with state and federal retirement regulations.
- Conduct data entry and analysis to support the optimization of pension fund management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Public Administration is preferred.
- Previous experience in a government, financial services, or administrative role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with pension plans, retirement systems, or government payroll processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and database management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
