Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify pension calculations, disbursements, and benefit payments with precision.
- Conduct comprehensive audits of pension records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Review and approve retirement applications, ensuring all documentation meets legal standards.
- Provide expert guidance and customer service to current and retired employees regarding pension inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline pension processing workflows.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in government administration, pension management, or public sector finance.
- Strong working knowledge of California Government Code and federal retirement regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and pension administration software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily pension processing and disbursement operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to OMB Circular A-123 and government accounting standards.
- Perform complex data analysis to identify trends and optimize pension strategies.
- Assist in the development of training materials for new pension procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all pension participants.
Qualifications
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CFP, CPFA, or CPA) is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing sensitive financial data with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with public sector payroll or retirement systems is a plus.
