Responsibilities
- Analyze federal, state, and local legislation to assess impact on Louisville communities
- Research and draft policy briefs, reports, and recommendations for executive leadership
- Collaborate with 15+ city departments to implement equitable policy solutions
- Present findings to public officials, stakeholders, and community groups
- Monitor regulatory changes and maintain comprehensive policy databases
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing housing affordability and climate resilience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of government policy analysis or public sector experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, ArcGIS)
- Deep understanding of Kentucky's legislative process and local government structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
