Responsibilities
- Analyze local legislation and regulatory compliance requirements
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and recommendation reports for City Council
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives and stakeholder engagement
- Monitor federal and state policy changes affecting municipal operations
- Manage public records requests and documentation processes
- Lead community outreach programs for policy implementation
- Develop performance metrics for public service programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of government or public sector experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, Excel, Tableau)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
- Knowledge of California municipal governance frameworks
- Ability to obtain security clearance (if required)
