Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic programs aligned with city policy objectives
- Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder communications
- Analyze budget allocations and ensure fiscal accountability
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for legislative bodies and public officials
- Lead community engagement initiatives and public feedback processes
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in government or public sector management
- Proven track record of program development and budget oversight
- Strong knowledge of Tennessee state regulations and municipal operations
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) designation highly desirable
- Experience with grant writing and federal funding applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required
