Responsibilities
- Patrol government premises and monitor surveillance systems to prevent security breaches
- Respond to emergency situations (alarms, medical incidents, disturbances) with de-escalation expertise
- Verify credentials and access control for personnel and visitors during overnight hours
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain security logs in compliance with protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Conduct regular equipment checks and maintain security infrastructure readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong observational skills and situational awareness
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies
- Basic computer literacy for report documentation
- Willingness to work independently overnight shifts
