Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail/packages to residential and commercial addresses along designated routes
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail for daily delivery using advanced sorting equipment
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with USPS safety standards and local traffic laws
- Collect and process customer mail, parcels, and return-to-sender items
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining route efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain detailed delivery records and report route irregularities or hazards
- Adhere to USPS performance metrics for delivery speed and service quality
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Basic computer literacy for USPS systems operation
- Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
