Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail along an established route efficiently and accurately
- Sort, arrange, and distribute mail according to delivery sequence
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and maintain assigned equipment
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and businesses
- Report and maintain records of mail irregularities and delivery issues
- Adhere to USPS policies and procedures for mail security and handling
- Operate automated delivery systems and scanning equipment as required
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry mail over long distances
- Availability to work in various weather conditions and irregular hours
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer literacy for operating USPS systems
- Physical ability to walk 5-8 miles daily on varied terrain
