Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure systems including networks, servers, and cloud platforms
- Develop and execute cybersecurity protocols to protect against emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Provide technical leadership for IT projects ensuring compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into new technology deployments
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for critical infrastructure
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, security policies, and incident response procedures
- Monitor system performance and implement performance optimization strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive IT experience with 3+ years in cybersecurity or systems administration
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret level clearance)
- Proficiency in federal IT frameworks including FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with incident response protocols and vulnerability management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration and documentation
