Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal information systems to identify security gaps and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and alerts using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Implement and enforce security controls, policies, and procedures in accordance with Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and NIST standards.
- Provide technical consultation and support to stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
- Manage incident response processes, including containment, eradication, and recovery operations.
- Conduct security awareness training and briefings for federal employees and contractors.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field; OR a combination of education and specialized experience totaling 4 years.
- Must have at least 3 years of specialized experience in information systems security, network security, or related IT fields.
- Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, Security+, or CAP.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and federal security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
