Leidos is seeking a qualified Information Technology Specialist (Cybersecurity) to support critical federal missions in Baltimore, MD. This role requires a proactive approach to cybersecurity and network management within a federal contracting context.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain secure network infrastructure to meet federal compliance standards (NIST).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps.
- Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for assigned systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot complex IT issues and provide technical support to federal personnel.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies securely.
- Document system configurations and security protocols accurately.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: US Citizenship is required for federal positions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Clearance: Active Public Trust clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in federal IT support or cybersecurity.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and SIEM tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Compliance: Understanding of FISMA and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
