About the Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist to join our federal team in Louisville, KY. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting critical infrastructure and data management initiatives within the federal sector.
As a Federal IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing our IT systems, ensuring compliance with strict government regulations, and providing top-tier technical support to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the agency's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and related hardware/software infrastructure.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot federal information systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive federal data and prevent cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT projects and system upgrades.
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff regarding new technologies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all IT operations comply with federal procurement and cybersecurity standards (e.g., FISMA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal IT environments or similar government contracting roles.
- Proficiency in ITIL frameworks, Microsoft Server 2016/2019, and Active Directory.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT regulations, including FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
