Responsibilities
- Perform risk assessments and implement security controls to protect federal information systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure 24/7 availability of IT infrastructure.
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability scans to maintain compliance with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Provide technical support and training to staff regarding cybersecurity best practices and software usage.
- Respond to and mitigate cyber threats and incidents in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet appropriate background security requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR 3 years of specialized experience in IT or cybersecurity.
- Certification such as Security+, CISSP, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, operating systems, and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
