Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of server infrastructure and network systems during weekend shifts.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for internal government staff and external users.
- Respond to and resolve critical incidents that may arise during off-peak hours.
- Document all system activities, incidents, and resolutions in compliance with state protocols.
- Collaborate with the core IT team to ensure seamless transition of duties during shift changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity best practices, and disaster recovery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during the weekend shift.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and security clearance process.
