Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks, servers, and hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime during weekend operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software technical issues for county staff and public users.
- User Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize government software and systems.
- Security Compliance: Implement and adhere to state and federal cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data.
- System Updates: Perform scheduled maintenance, patch management, and software updates during low-traffic periods.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT operations team during shift handovers to ensure seamless service continuity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Certifications: ITIL Foundation certification is highly preferred.
