Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of IT projects, ensuring alignment with city-wide strategic goals.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
- Coordinate with cross-functional government departments to gather requirements and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and standards.
- Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to stakeholders and city leadership.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to optimize team performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a preference for government or public sector experience.
- PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is highly required.
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale software deployments or infrastructure upgrades.
