Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across agency networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7
- Develop incident response plans for cyber threats and natural disasters
- Train personnel on security best practices and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement on threat intelligence operations
- Ensure adherence to NIST and FISMA security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Security+ CE and CISSP certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal IT security environments
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of federal regulations including FISMA, NIST SP 800-53
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
