Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols for federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents within SLA requirements
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and OMB directives
- Collaborate with cross-agency security task forces
- Document security procedures and incident reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
- Expert knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Secret security clearance (must obtain if not current)
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux systems and network security
