Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity protocols to protect Treasury's digital infrastructure
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments across federal systems
- Lead incident response activities during security breaches or cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to establish unified security standards
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations including FISMA and NIST frameworks
- Train staff on security best practices and emerging threats
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities using advanced SIEM tools
- Document security procedures and maintain incident response documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security or network administration
- Professional certification (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH)
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint protection
