Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for federal employees, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
- Manage and secure federal networks in compliance with strict government security protocols and FISMA regulations.
- Configure and maintain server infrastructure ensuring 99.9% uptime and optimal performance.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- Document all system configurations and changes to ensure full audit trail compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions and improve operational workflows.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide technical guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or network engineering within a federal or government environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems under pressure.
