Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network security protocols.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and state agencies.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Manage project lifecycles for IT infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and user experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in network administration or IT support.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License and proof of liability insurance.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are preferred.
