Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the City's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues with rapid resolution times.
- Implement and enforce information security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Conduct regular security audits and provide technical training to staff members.
- Support the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-based architectures.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate system logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in network administration or information security.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with industry-standard security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
