Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain enterprise-level information security controls and monitoring systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to detect and respond to unauthorized access or cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations including FISMA, NIST, and OMB policies.
- Provide technical guidance and training to staff regarding security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Manage and oversee the security of cloud-based infrastructure and remote access solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- A minimum of 4 years of specialized experience in information security, network administration, or IT infrastructure support.
- Certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret security clearance.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing security documentation and briefings.
