Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain federal information systems, ensuring 24/7 operational availability.
- Implement and monitor network security measures in compliance with federal standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software systems used by federal personnel.
- Analyze system performance data to optimize workflows and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and upgrade legacy federal systems.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations and incidents.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited university.
- At least 3 years of specialized experience in IT system administration, preferably within a government or large corporate environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret security clearance.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations, including OMB circulars and IT governance policies.
- Proficiency in managing Linux and Windows Server environments.
