Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures to ensure high availability and performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
- Monitor network traffic to identify security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy IT solutions and support enterprise applications.
- Perform regular system audits and backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Provide Level 3 technical support and guidance to junior staff and end-users.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR 4 years of directly related experience.
- Certification such as Network+, CCNA, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Experience with network security protocols (IPSec, SSL, SSH) and firewall management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
