Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving complex hardware and software issues promptly.
- Implement and monitor state cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and prevent unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and implement scalable IT solutions.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration, network support, or a similar technical role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) and virtualization is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be eligible to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening required for state employment.
