Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's Windows Server infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance to ensure high availability and uptime.
- Configure and secure network devices, including firewalls, switches, and routers, ensuring compliance with state security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement software upgrades.
- Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery testing to safeguard critical information assets.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and system changes for future reference and compliance auditing.
- Respond to and resolve Help Desk tickets related to server and network outages in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration within a Windows Server environment.
- Proven experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware), and cloud services (e.g., Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced government environment.
