Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity, security, and availability of server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Perform routine system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical applications.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and document system upgrades and deployments.
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery testing to safeguard sensitive government data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in system administration within a government or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or scripting tools like Ansible/Terraform is highly preferred.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar IT security certification is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a suitable background check and security clearance as required for government employment.
