Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to state employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage end-user devices, including laptops, smartphones, and peripherals.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve technical incidents to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to ensure secure and efficient data transmission across state facilities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of server hardware and storage arrays.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support during business hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a plus but not required.
