Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to state employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure, deploy, and manage end-user devices, including laptops, smartphones, and peripherals.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve technical incidents to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with network engineers to ensure secure and efficient data transmission across state facilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of server hardware and storage arrays.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support during business hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a plus but not required.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain state security clearance.
