Responsibilities
- Manage Server Infrastructure: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement Security Protocols: Enforce cybersecurity best practices and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support and consultation to internal city departments and staff.
- System Upgrades: Plan and execute system patches, updates, and hardware migrations.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve complex technical issues and manage service contracts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications: Preferred: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Azure Administrator certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, PowerShell, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
