Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the city's network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal government departments and external agencies.
- Analyze system performance and optimize software applications to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers to deliver IT solutions that align with municipal strategic goals.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks in adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Mentor junior IT staff and participate in on-call rotation for critical system maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis or network administration.
- Strong proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and database management systems (SQL).
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
