Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of current and future IT systems to identify optimization opportunities and efficiency gaps.
- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions in strict alignment with state security protocols and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into precise technical specifications.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex network, hardware, and software issues to ensure 99.9% system uptime.
- Document system architecture, workflows, and technical procedures to maintain a knowledge base for the department.
- Train end-users on new software applications, updates, and system enhancements.
- Monitor system performance metrics and recommend upgrades to ensure scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or technical support within a government or corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, or Python; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to travel between state facilities as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of state procurement regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
