Responsibilities
- Analyze environmental and biological samples using advanced laboratory equipment
- Perform quality control tests and maintain detailed documentation per FDA/CDC standards
- Operate HPLC, GC-MS, and spectrophotometry instruments with precision
- Collaborate with epidemiologists during public health investigations
- Train weekend shift team members on new protocols and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Participate in emergency response testing during public health crises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or related field
- ASCP or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical/environmental lab experience
- Availability to work Saturday-Sunday shifts (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Strong knowledge of CLIA/CAP compliance standards
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
