Responsibilities
- Sort, process, and deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Operate USPS vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules
- Collect outgoing mail and process postage payments from customers
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report maintenance issues for vehicles and equipment
- Provide courteous service to customers and resolve delivery inquiries or complaints
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Assist with special mail processing during peak seasons (holidays, elections)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy for tracking systems and customer interactions
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
