Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming mail and packages by size, class, and route to ensure accurate distribution.
- Deliver Mail: Transport and deliver mail and packages along an established route in all types of weather conditions.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and handle undeliverable mail according to established protocols.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a delivery vehicle (van or truck) and perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Physical Duties: Lift heavy packages, walk or stand for extended periods, and navigate various terrains, including stairs and curbs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of mail and packages handled, including forwarding and return-to-sender activities.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident alien with valid proof of residency.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record (MVR check required).
- Physical Health: Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks without assistance.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
