Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, tractors, and maintenance equipment
- Perform routine inspections of infrastructure and document maintenance activities
- Assist in storm response and emergency infrastructure repairs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety regulations
- Collaborate with landscaping teams for green space beautification
- Manage inventory and order necessary maintenance supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years in maintenance or construction field
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
