Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, graders, snowplows) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform daily inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Execute landscape and park beautification projects year-round
- Respond to emergency weather conditions (snow, flooding, debris removal)
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Indiana Class B CDL license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- 2+ years of landscaping/construction equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
