Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
- Assist with snow removal and weather-related emergency responses
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards
- Support waste management and recycling programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects
- Adhere to all municipal safety protocols and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Experience with landscaping/maintenance equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in various conditions
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment maintenance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (training provided)
