Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of public parks, streets, and facilities to ensure high standards of public hygiene.
- Operate and maintain municipal vehicles, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety.
- Respond to and resolve citizen inquiries and service requests regarding public infrastructure and sanitation.
- Conduct regular inspections of city property to identify maintenance needs and report deficiencies.
- Load and unload materials, debris, and supplies as needed for ongoing municipal projects.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and municipal policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Missouri Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and operating heavy machinery.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Pass a standard background check and drug screen.
- Experience in public works, landscaping, or custodial services is a plus but not required.
