Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, drainage systems, and public facilities.
- Perform essential manual labor tasks, including cleaning, landscaping, and waste management operations.
- Inspect public spaces and equipment to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and city standards.
- Operate heavy machinery and light vehicles (e.g., dump trucks, jackhammers, mowers) safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to service requests, emergency maintenance calls, and citizen inquiries regarding city services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and project completion.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and departmental operational procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record required.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction, landscaping, or general maintenance practices is highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to public service, community welfare, and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical agility test.
