Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, streets, and municipal buildings
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, snow removal equipment) safely and efficiently
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure projects and emergency response
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in waste management, recycling programs, and litter control initiatives
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in landscaping, construction, or municipal services
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow oral/written instructions
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
