Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests within specified timeframes
- Assist in park beautification and landscape maintenance projects
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to all city safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year experience in municipal services or construction maintenance
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
