Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of public streets, alleys, and parks.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control operations during inclement weather.
- Operate heavy machinery, dump trucks, and utility vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and report on infrastructure damage, code violations, or safety hazards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors regarding city services.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety standards and city operational protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Valid Illinois Class D Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and construction equipment preferred.
