Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city vehicles, machinery, and public works equipment
- Perform infrastructure inspections and repairs (roads, sewers, parks)
- Implement safety protocols during all field operations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Respond to emergency service requests within city guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Adhere to all federal, state, and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B)
- Minimum 2 years equipment operation or maintenance experience
- Certification in OSHA safety standards preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Milwaukee residency required upon hire
