Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal vehicles and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily sanitation duties, including waste collection, street sweeping, and litter removal to ensure a clean city environment.
- Execute snow and ice removal operations during winter months to maintain public safety and accessibility on roadways.
- Inspect public infrastructure for damage, hazards, or maintenance needs and report findings promptly.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure personal and team safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate large-scale municipal projects and maintenance schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and tools to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Maryland Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety standards.
