Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and security rounds to prevent breaches
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation for legal compliance
- Screen visitors and incoming/outgoing mail/packages for contraband
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency response operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 21 years of age with no felony convictions
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution skills under high-pressure situations
